The Risk and Safety Department of Beaumont Unified School District is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all students, staff, and community members. In alignment with the district’s mission to provide high-quality educational opportunities, we prioritize safety, security, and risk management as fundamental components of a productive learning environment.

 

Through proactive measures and a shared commitment between home, school, and community, we strive to protect the well-being of everyone on our campuses. By fostering a secure setting, we empower students to thrive academically, socially, and personally, guiding them toward becoming responsible, productive citizens who contribute positively to society.  

 

School Safety Measures

School Resource Officers
A contracted Beaumont Police Department employee who provides security service on-campus
 
Visitor Check-In Systems
All visitors, including employees, are required to check-in using a District employee badge or a state-issued ID. They are also required to digitally check-out upon leaving campus.
 
Single Point of Entry
Every school site has only one entry-point for visitors to enter.
 
Emergency Supplies and Systems
Every school is trained on our emergency management system and has emergency supplies. Additionally, they have AED/CPR procedures in place.
 
Anonymous Reporting
All families and students have access to the WeTIp and StopIt apps. These apps allow individuals to report concerns and risks anonymously.
 
Yearly Training
Each year, active school shooter training is provided to school staff and all employees are required to complete various other trainings, including mandated reporter requirements.
