Vocational Nursing (VN) Program

Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) are vital entry level healthcare providers responsible for rendering basic, high quality nursing care under the direction of a physician or registered nurse. Completing this program qualifies graduates to sit for the official California state licensing exam known as the NCLEX exam.

Program Overview & Schedule

• Schedule: 3 days per week (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

• Program Length: 18 months

Tuition, Financial Aid & Included Materials

• Total Program Cost: $34,500.00

• Tuition: Tuition covers all required textbooks, uniforms, background check fees, and the fee for your first NCLEX licensing exam. 

• Onsite Financial Aid Specialist & WIOA Assistance: An onsite financial aid technician is available on campus to assist you through the application and funding process step-by-step. We partner with WIOA funding assistance to help eligible students.

Steps to Apply & Enroll

1. Submit the Interest List Form: Complete the online Vocational Nursing Interest Form [Here] to get placed on our contact list for upcoming cohorts.

2. Schedule an appt to take the CASAS Assessment Test: Once testing registration opens, we will email you to schedule your appointment. This test evaluates general high school level math and reading comprehension.

3. Complete the Intro Class: Top scoring applicants from the CASAS assessment will be invited to enroll in a 9 week prerequisite course (meeting 2 nights per week) covering Medical Math and Anatomy & Physiology.

4. Take the TEAS Test: Complete the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) to evaluate overall academic readiness for nursing education.

5. Interview with the Program Director: Participate in a formal interview with the Vocational Nursing Program Director.

6. Final Selection: Your CASAS score, Intro Class performance, TEAS test score, and Director interview will all factor into selecting the top 30 students admitted into the official Vocational Nursing cohort.

General Admission Requirements

• Official high school transcript, diploma, or equivalent (GED, HiSET)

• Valid driver's license or government-issued photo ID

• Social Security card

• Physical examination & up-to-date immunizations

• Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association)

• Background check screening

Our curriculum is meticulously designed to prepare you for success on the NCLEX exam, the final step toward becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse. We integrate practice questions, review sessions, and simulated exams to build your confidence and readiness.
