Vocational Nursing

Registration for VN Class 36 is now closed. Registration for VN Class 37 will open during the Summer of 2023. 
 
The following information pertains to Class 36. These applicants have already been notified of their selection to apply to the class.
  • Intro to VN starts in March 2023. Start date notifications will be provided to students who have completed the registration process and have met with the Financial Aid Technician.  
  • The VN mandatory orientation is scheduled for Tuesday, April 25th. Additional information is forthcoming.  
  • VN Class 36 starts on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. 
  • Additional information will be provided during Registration Week.

Intro to Vocational Nursing Class #2
STUDENTS MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED PRIOR TO THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS!!! BOOSTERS ARE REQUIRED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE FOLLOWING THE INITIAL VACCINATION AND MAY OCCUR AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS. 
 
Course Description: The Intro to Vocational Nursing class is designed to support students and prepare them for the vocational nursing program. Classes will consist of basic math, basic grammar, learning styles, medical terminology, and test-taking strategies.

Admission Criteria

BAS admits individuals beyond compulsory school age (18 years) or those who can demonstrate that they are no longer required to attend secondary school.  Application for enrollment is open to all individuals regardless of age or ethnicity.

BAS will provide reasonable accommodation for students with physical impairments, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act; however, applicants must be able to meet the physical requirements for the VN occupation as determined in the State Board of Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians standards.
