Assessment Testing: Upon completing testing, eligible candidates will be invited to enroll in the Intro to MA Math course.
Program Selection: Final placement in upcoming MA cohorts is determined by your assessment testing scores and performance on the math course final exam.

Course Length
- In-Class Training: 3 months of classroom and hands-on instruction
- Clinical Externship: 1 month (160 hours)
- Note: Externship placement and start dates are subject to facility location and availability.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and provide/complete the following:
- Education: High school diploma or high school equivalent (GED or HiSET)
- Identification: Valid government issued photo ID and Social Security card
- Health Screenings: Completed physical exam and documentatin of up-to-date immunizations
- Testing: Complete the CASAS assessment test (testing schedules are sent via email to applicants on the MA Interest List)
- Intro to MA: Complete 40+ hours along with final assessment
- Program Supplies: Uniforms and medical equipment (detailed list provided at orientation)
Selection Notice: Admission is competitive and space is limited; not all applicants will be accepted. Final candidates will be selected based on the highest scores from the CASAS assessment test and the Intro to MA final assessment.
What You Will Learn
Back Office Skills
- Patient Care: Vital signs, medical histories, injections, and patient coaching
- Clinical Procedures: EKG testing, CPR & AED certification, and assisting with minor surgeries
- Laboratory & Diagnostics: Phlebotomy, specimen collection, lab processing, and diagnostic testing
- Medical Knowledge: Pharmacology, anatomy & physiology, and human diseases
Front Office Skills
- Administrative Operations: Medical office procedures, appointment scheduling, and electronic health records (EHR)
- Financial & Insurance: Medical insurance processing, billing, and coding
- Communication & Compliance: Medical terminology and abbreviations, patient communication, and medical law and ethics
