Medical Assistants are multi-skilled members of the healthcare team who perform a variety of tasks. Employment opportunities include:
- Physician’s Offices
- Private Practices
- Urgent Care Facilities
- Surgical Centers
- Specialists (Cardiology, Pediatrics, etc.)
- Clerical jobs
- Assistant to a Nurse Midwife
COURSE LENGTH
We have 2 cohorts per year:
August to December + full time 1 month externship
January to June + full time 1 month externship
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be 18 or older to enroll in the program
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License or Picture ID
- Social Security Card
- Physical Examination
- Immunizations including COVID and Flu
- Assessment Test (testing dates will be emailed to those who filled out the MA Interest Form)
- Purchase of supplies will be required. This may include: a textbook, 2 sets of uniforms through the school vendor, and medical supplies (list provided during orientation)
